okay well fiance' and I decided to hold off with him coming into the us after his noa2 approval, due to personal family problems he was having, well

now the problem has been worked out, and we want to go on with the marriage, only problem is, is that his noa2 was valid until june 19th, which means

it has expired, well called the consulate in trinidad and they said they were still waiting to receive packett 3 for him, which makes me believe they are

still holding the noa2, well second problem is that well now his passport has expired and its taking a very long time to get an appointment, which i think

in his case he can apply for his to be expedited with proof of noa2 letter, but my question is , is it true you can get a four month extention for the noa2 date, and if so how? because when i talked to the consular she didn't mention that. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The Consulates routinely extends the expiration date of the NOA2 automatically but I think it's usually because they can not get the process moving faster than that. I'm not sure they can/would in this case since you've had packet 3 since March. There is a form to fill out to extend the date. You may be able to find it on the Embassy website(?) or maybe someone else can help you. This probably should have been done when you decided to wait... hindsight, eh? ;)

You can always send the packet in and take it from there. I'm not sure if the NOA2 is going to expedite getting his passport.

good luck

If he returns the P3, processing will proceed normally. You can request an extension but I've never heard of an actual need to do so. If he has no current passport, he can't really return the P3 questionaire indicating he has all his documents ready.
