My heart aches for you. Know that he's at peace.

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

We were married just over a month and I lost my best friend today. I do not even have the words right now. Please do not listen to any inaccurate reports coming from other sources ~ I am getting the information as it comes directly from his family. I will share more details as I see fit, but please allow me to speak for my husband. I do not want him disrespected any further :( I am in shock right now and I can't accept or believe the news that I received today !! He was 26 years old. God be with us and my husband (F)

My condolences. Please share with us what happened to him when you are ready.

I just got off yahoo with Brahim ~ He had to work and was unable to join some of the family in El Jadida where my husband was laid to rest this morning (F) When I was in Morocco last year for Ramadan my husband was diagnosed with epilepsy. He had been having seizures for years, but never received proper medical attention or diagnosis. He was put on phenobarbital and that helped minimize and control the seizures which would only occur at night when he slept. I had witnessed a few really scarey attacks before we got him to the doctor and on the meds.

The family believes he had a gran mal and that is what killed him or he hit his head and was bleeding internally, or he ran out of his meds.Whatever the cause, I feel so helpless because I was not there to help him. Right now I am getting information in bits and pieces and still do not know all the details. The family says that God wanted him ~ I am really struggling with that because I thought God was giving me a husband (L)

I am so sorry for your loss Monica. My heart broke reading about this - I was an epileptic as a child and grew out of it - but I had a gran mal seizure at 3 years old that when it was happening, my parents thought it was a California earthquake. The doctors were amazed that I didn't die that evening because of how hard I was hitting the wall...they think that somewhere during the seizure my body rotated enough that instead of my head hitting the wall my legs and back did. I suffered from seizures for a long time and the meds sometimes helped, sometimes didn't, sometimes did more bad than good.

Aside from that, I can appreciate his family saying that God wanted him, which might be identified with the Muslim culture, but it is also a Christian value as well. We are taught to see that our time on earth is brief and precious, and we never know when God will call us home. God has a plan so much larger than we know it to be.

When I saw your beautiful wedding pictures, I thought of the joy that you two shared - how wonderful that you two had such an amazing moment in time. You gave him that moment. You made him whole, as he did you. I know that a part of you has been ripped away, and in such a brief space of time after your wedding. He brought you two together and I don't understand why he separated you so quickly, but that isn't for us to figure out.

I pray that you are surrounded by angels to help you in this most unbelievably difficult time. I wish you peace and grace and consolation on your heart. (F)(L)(F)

First I must say I am so sorry for your loss. I know this means little in a time of such pain but just know that there are many people here that although strangers, feel for you and your family at this time.

With that said I would love to share a scripture or two with you that may help you in this time of anguish. At 1 Peter 5: 6,7 it say humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that he may exualt you in due time, while you throw all your anxiety upon him becuase he cares for you.

God wants you to throw all your pain and anxiety on him especially in these heartbreaking times and not only that, it says "he cares for you". He loves you and cares for you and wants you to give him your anxiety and your pain becuase he is capable of handling it when you cannot.

God has many angels in heaven that do his will and serve him there, he did not need nor take your husband. He is a god of love and it states at 1 John 4:8 "God is Love!" It doesnt just say that he loves but it says, he IS love. A loving father would never give a gift to his child and then snatch it away. God is no diffrent and in fact his love is far greater than that of a father for his child.

God also explained to us why these things happen. He let us know that becuase of our first parents Adam and Eve we inherited sin wich brings death to all of us (Romans 6:23). Sin is like a disease that was passed on from one generation to another and the outcome of that disease is death. God does not cuase death in fact God is pained by it and in no way enjoys death nor takes back life from us for his enjoyment or use. In fact I think you will be comforted by the words of Job in Job 14 :13-15 where in verse 14 Job asks God "if a abled body man dies, can he live again?" In verse 15 Job continues by saying, "you (GOD) will call and and I myself shall answer you(he is speaking of answering from his memorial tomb) For the work of your hands you will have a yearning."

Yes God hates death and he actually has a yearning to eradicate it and bring back those who have lost their lives in death and it states this at

John 5:28, 29 - Do not marvel at this becuase the hour is coming wich all of those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. Those who did good things to a ressurection of life and those who did vile things to a ressurection of judgment.

I hope some of this helps and again I am truly sorry for you and your family!

I know it must be hard for u to update us as you are going through such difficult times. Thank you Henna.

I was thinking that the comment "god wanted him" is probably right and god did want to give you a husband. He also wanted to give your husband the most wonderful wife/partner/love before his time was done here on earth. You are such a wonderful person and I see why God chose you to fill that spot.

I'm keeping you in my prayers every day. I'm free any time if u need to talk, yell, cry, scream, anything.

Amal

Maybe those of you that are muslim can explain the thought process behind that comment (God wanted him) and help her understand from your perspective. I have some insight on it but not enough to explain it well. There are things we will never understand in our finite human minds and no one can understand the ways of God. But to a non-muslim, this comment can be hurtful so I'd like to help her understand.

I am muslim, but I converted a year and a half ago. The thing I can say about Islam is muslims believe that when it is your time to die then that is it. It doesn't matter where you are or what you are doing. God will take you. So it means there is nothing you could do to prevent it or stop it. It is not an easy thing to take for some people. I don't think that muslims necessarily resign themselves to their fate. We just believe that when it is time to go we have to accept it. That doesn't make the pain less for anyone, muslims included. It is just a way of believing.

Henna I know you may be reading this some time later because you trying to get every detail of your husband. I just want to tell you again, that I am praying for you. Do not let any negativity touch you now, the hardest thing that could happen to a woman besides losing her child is losing her husband and I have cried for you like I have never cried for someone I have not seen with my eyes. I urge you to please let any negativity not touch you, don't let a bad soul tell you anything at this moment, it is the hardest time for you. I have read about his seizures and understand a bit more about what happened, thank you for filling us in with all of the things you have got to do. May God take your husband to a sweeter place, this world afte all is not such a sweet place. You will NEVER lose your husband, your love, he is and always will be with you and I believe the soul can travel far to reach anywhere it wants.

I know you will be able to rise out of this pain, not today or tomorrow but many the moment which you least expect. You are already stronger than most people I know, being able to speak sanely after this tragic occurrence is to say the least, the deed of an amazing person.

I wish I could bring your husband back, if there was any way if that was possible somehow. But maybe he is happier where he does not have to suffer from the seizures, maybe he will reach you in ways you have never imagined.

Please take care of yourself and love yourself for the strong woman you are. We all have to face death one day, but as I heard, the ones who we love most leave us the fastest. But they never really leave our soul, which is the only real and permanent part of a human being.

Please take my love and prayers,

Tammy

so sorry for your loss. What you said made me remember once, someone told me when i was in doubt that this journey/relationship was given to me for a reason, yours also, you made him very happy to know love and know he was loved so much by you. (F)

I in no way meant what I said to be hurtful :( I honestly hope it wasn't taken that way. What I was trying to say is what brnid was able to say. I have a rough time getting the right words out sometimes and for that I apologise.
