Hello,

I was wondering for those that have traveled with AP, when we return to the US, does my husband go through the US citizen line with me, or does he have to go through another line? We have AP, he is applying for AOS, which we have proof of, and lots of other things, I just want to make sure we do this correctly.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about the same thing! We're getting married in August and sending the AOS/ AP/ EAD packet out soon after. We were hoping to go back to Jamaica in November and I heard my husband will be able to travel as long as he has the AP.

Do you think 3 months is a long enough time for us to have the AP back? (between when we file and when we travel? )

Secondly, how long has it been taking some of you to actually GET the AP back in the mail once you do AOS???

Any info would be helpful!

Hello... Same case here, I want to go back to my country 3 months after sending AOS for our wedding ceremony. As everybody here says, it is risky to plan anything and they wouldn't try to have plans in case there is a problem and we don't receive AP on time. If you look at the timelines, most of the people get approved in between 2 and 3 months after filling... But a tiny problem can delay everything.. So.. Don't know. We are thinking a lot about the consequences and risks of planning a wedding 3 months after filling and it is not an easy decision to make... We'd like to try it, and fingers crossed, it will be on time...

Hope this helps...
