i got my visa already for K3 route my husband said we need to do the CR1 when we get there is this correct?? we've been arguing about it i need some enlightenment! he paid for the $70 AOS bill already and he thinks that the $400 bill is for the choice of agent! gosssssssshhhhhh!!! can u just imagine my headache explaining this???

he also said if we don't pursue the CR1 im not gonna be able to get my green card.gosh!!! i don't know how else i can explain this to him! i have read a lot here and i thought my knowledge is well enough until now!

Love is an unexpected thing...and when it arrives grab it with all ur heart....it may pass u jsut once.......

11.20.07 : mailed I130

01.23.08 : NOA1

04.21.08 : mailed I129F

04.22.08 : NOA1

05.14.08 : NOA2 both for I 130 and I 129F

06.26.08 : medical exam 2nd day PASSED!!

07.09.08 : interview day! PASSED! PINK SLIP!

07.15.08 : visa on hand!!!

08.01.08 : POE SFO (home with my papi!)

Have him read the K3, step by step guide all the way through adjustment of status and green card. If you adjust status, that $400 would be down the drain.

Does he understand obtaining the CR1 visa would require a trip back to Manila for another visa interview?

NOTE: In some cases your I-130 may be approved prior to some of the above steps. In that case the foreign spouse may chose to interview at the foreign embassy and get an IR-1 or CR-1 Visa (See IR-1/CR-1 Guide). These visas allow the foreign spouse to enter the US and immediately be granted permanent residency (no need to file for Adjustment of Status). This choice may often take longer than simply entering on a K-3 and keep families apart for greater periods of time.
