Hey all,

I'm a little bit nervous because I told my fiancee to get a phone card in Tokyo so that she could call me to let me know that she's alright. Well, the plane is boarding right now and I still didn't hear from her.

I was just wondering, did anybody else make an attempt to call their petitioner while in Tokyo or a different non-US airport? Maybe it's more difficult to get a phone card than I realize. She had about 100 minutes in-between her flights. That should be plenty of time right?

Sorry if I'm being a whiner, I just want to know that she's ok, lol

Thanks in advance!

Brett

Fitzee,

If it's any help to you, I had a 6 hour layover in Taiwan, and buying a phone card there was a real SOB.

Take into account, she probably doesn't have any Japanese Yen, so she would need to go to a $ exchange, then find a machine or person that sells phonecards, and then hope she buys the correct intl card, and not a local one. All this in 100 minutes could be a stretch.

Took me almost 2 hours to do all that in Taiwan.

Best,

Matt

Relax and don't worry about it. Numerous reasons she wasn't able to call: Plane from PI to Jap was late, Money exchange, Bad Connection, etc.

She will be here today. Call or text me when after she arrives

Actually, they take U.S. dollars at Narita airport in Tokyo, but they give you Yen for change. I still have some Yen from my trip through there last year :)

Also, her flight was early, but I guess it's probably difficult to get a phone card.

Nonetheless, I didn't get a phone call in the middle of the night so I'd say she's just fine and on the plane. The flight is scheduled to land 29 minutes early, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY! Hehe!

Thanks everybody.

Narita is confusing the first time you go through there.... She was probably overwhelmed to get from point A to point B... Don't worry, she is ok! You both will be together here in a few hours...

I was wondering the same!

I talked to him yesterday on his way to the airport. He said if she hadn't made the flight then he would of already heard from her.

It's been a year since they have seen each other.

I bet they are busy making up for lost time.
