Hi everyone! I'm pretty vexed right now. I've been debating with my husband regarding the medical fees that we need to pay but he kept on insisting that we don't need to pay for it since we are covered with Tricare. What's the deal? Does SLEC recognize this kind of medical insurance? Can we pay it first hand and then get reimbursed later? I hope there's someone here who can help me... Thanks in advance.

Which medical fees? Do you mean for the exam before the interview? If so then I know you cannot use a military facility but you could always try and bill tricare after the fact. I have been repaid for some things after the fact. While not always the most helpful you could call one of the helplines at tricare and ask (but be generic-don't give a name and social up front)

I dont think Medical exam will be covered by TRICARE but try to research on the website.. You know I am also Filipina working with the US Army.. hindi ganoon kalaki sahod nila then risk pa buhay nila.. so siguro iniisip din nya ang gastos.. And too, kasal na ba kayo? Covered ka na ba sa insurance nya?

What website? Oo nga eh. Oo covered na ako but I still need to apply for my military I.D. sa Consulate. Whats the best thing to do kaya? Ano work mo with the US Army? Ive been trying to call St. Lukes kaso always busy.

I never lived in the US but just went twice in 2 and half years citizen na ako. Nag apply ako under 319 b.

Sa logistics ako but owned by private company.. contract with the US army.

Mas mabilis at konting hassle.

You know folks sometimes mabagal ang process for the military.. They scrutinized everything kasi.. Marami na mga military na nag asawa ng different nationalities then when they received the greencard or citizenship they got divorced. As they are everywhere in the world. As you see before there is no conditional status.. but now you have to pass 2 years marriage before you get the permanent.. But dont lose hope, everything will be okay.. This must be a difficult journey but its all worth it.
