Hi! I just sen dmy documents today!! I do have a question though. I but the 2 hole punching fastner, however I do not know why the box only had the metal fastner but not the piece to keep it in place. It did bring the flat piece with the two things sticking out, but not the metal thing to secure it. I looked everywhwere for one but could not find it. I send in the documentation with the fastner, but it is missing the metal part that secures the documentation. Does anyones think this is an issue???

Thanks for your help!

The USCIS will take it apart anyway because they have their own way of filing

So you do not think it is a big issue??? ufff!! good news! I just could not stand not mailing the documentation for 2 more days!! My visa expired yesterday and I have been meaning to file for weeks now, and I really just needed for my own sanity to mail it!!

It will be fine, don't worry. I was also thinking about doing the same thing, but in the end since I have no idea how they really are going to file things, I just prepared a well organized packet, with different size paper clips so they can easily separate the different forms and the supporting documents :thumbs:

05/12/04 => Arrived in the US under L1 status / work visa

03/05/05 => Met the love of my life

07/02/07 => Married my wonderful USC husband

______AOS JOURNEY________________________________

10/03/08 => Package sent to USCIS

03/03/09 => Interview in Chicago, IL =>> APPROVED!

______REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS JOURNEY______________

12/03/10 => Package sent to California service center

03/02/11 => 10 YR GREEN CARD RECEIVED!!

______CITIZENSHIP JOURNEY_________________________

01/20/12 => Filed N-400 for Citizenship

06/21/12 => Citizenship interview: Approved!

It will certainly not be an issue. As long as the packet is complete, they are not going to fret about the fastener. As others have said, they take it apart anyway. I just have to say that I was very amused that you would put one part of a two part fastener on your docs and then fret about it. Why not just use a big ACCO brand paper clip? or a rubber band? :lol: Run to the office supply store and get a new 2 part fastener making sure that the second part is there this time? Seriously though, nothing to worry about, just sit back and wait for the biometrics appointment letter now.
