anyone knows regarding the basis of porverty guidlines.. is it the ITR/W-2's or the letter of employment?

Employment Letter can be done at anyone computer with a printer. No way to verify. Not really worth the paper they are printed on.

A 2007 Tax Return can be verified with the IRS if needed. In US you don't mess with the IRS, they will take everything you own.

In my own experience, it's the letter of employment which states the current income of your petitioner.

Because my fiance had below poverty income in 2005-2007 ITR and his current income is above the poverty level which is indicated in his letter of employment that made my k1 approved.

the cert of employment is not enough evidence to establish your SO's financial status. what they really require is a copy of the ITRs and the affidavit of support. all other financial evidences including pay stubs, remittances, bank certificate, and etc., will only serve as back-up in case they need more proof.

I question to both of you after you had your interview scheduled did you received email right away and at the VISA Interview Appointment web site (IV) how long does it took for it to show in IV web site.
