On VJ, I have met several guys who either just turned 40, or whose 40th is coming up very soon. My 40th is on Monday the 28th. Is this a pivotal year for many of you VJ'ers? I'm curious.

Going into my 20's I thought they would be the best years of my life. Now going into my 30's I am certain these are really going to be the best years of my life.

What do you feel going into your 40's?

I had a blast during my 20s. My 30s tanked. I want to enjoy life like when I was in my 20s. Traveling and enjoying new/different music certainly helps...

I had good times and bad in my 20's and now in my 30's....and now it seems like turning 40 is like what turning 25 was in the last generation...Many people wait until later in live to get married, have kids...now many are graduating from college and going back to their parent's homes because they can't afford a decent place alone...

I have 40 year old friends that party like they are college kids on spring break...I see a LOT of that..

Just enjoy the ride!

I don't see why so many people have (or make) negative associations with the age of 40. Yes, you're getting older. So what? I've known people in their 50s who act more energetic and upbeat than those who're twenty or thirty years younger than them. While you may have to take it a little easier when it comes to some areas of life (I'd probably avoid so-called "Xtreme Sports"), there's a saying that goes, "You're only as old as you feel." I think it's true, for the most part.
