See so many responses on these boards of POE officers not knowing how to do certain visas!! When i crossed into Maine, they had no clue either. Had to get out the book and do it step by step, as well they called another POE to verify that info,lol Glad u made it htrough

So true flames - they must have a big turn over at these border crossings.

When we pulled up there was the first officer, who handed us over to the second officer (neither knew what to do) and finally we ended up with the 3rd guy who showed the second officer what he was doing.

From what I could see, seems like a pretty straight forward procedure.

Congrats Linda! I'm crossing my fingers that my experience will be almost exactly like yours at the end of next week. I'm lucky cause I live really close to hubby too.

That border crossing has traumatized me and friends that have tried to cross...both sides BTW.

I am not looking forward to any time I may have to use it.

Tied the knot (legal ceremony, part one) – January 26th, 2008 (kinda spontaneous)

AOS: Mailed V-Day; received February 15th, 2007 – phew!

I-485 application transferred to CSC – March 12th, 2008

Travel/Work approval notices via email – April 23rd, 2008

Green card/residency card: email notice of approval – August 28th, 2008 yippeeeee!!!

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010
