It sounds like the CR-1 is the route for me after my last thread. But if one were to give a guess on the average time for this visa what would it be? 2 years, 9 months, 13,000 days?

We sent our I-130 on July 15, 2007 and I had my interview in Montreal this Monday July 21, 2008. One year and 6 days from start to finish.

I received my passport with my visa in it yesterday and activated it at the border today!

Granted, most of the people on the list did not DCF, therefore you might expect your visa processing to be a tad faster, but it will certainly give you a good idea.

We did not DCF, it took us 11 months from the time the I-130 was sent in to interview in Montreal (February 2008). It's hard to give a definative answer as there are variables - for instance we received a couple of 'requests for evidence' from NVC - then they just kind of forgot about our file and I had to contact a supervisor - had that not happened it would have been quicker, obviously.

Actually, I just realized, after looking at your other thread again, that you won't be doing DCF either, so the above table should give you a good general idea of processing times
