Hello Guys,

I hope every one is doing fine I am very happy for those who are getting thier interviews soon "GOOD LUCK"..

I have a question .. what will happen in our I-130 when it is completed and I was in US by K3 Visa? I know we should apply for AOS but does this mean we have to pay again for Affidiat of support and pay for IV fee bill??? or they will just make my interview in US instead of Cairo Embassy ??

I am really lost and confused esp that our case is about to be completed when I am still here in Cairo so we may have the I-130 forwarded to the Embassy and I may have the K3 interview done and still I-130 interview not scheduled yet ..My hsuband and I can't readly stand being away again waiting for the I-130 so we decided if the K3 interview was before I-130 "which wil be this way " i will travel to US and not wait till I-130 interview so I wanna know what would happen then for the I-130 ???

Hope some one will tell me what to do and what will happen?? :help:

-IV Bill is for the actual visa, which if you enter on the K-3 and adjust status, you will forfeit the $$$$ for.

-To my knowledge you will have to pay the AOS fee again during adjustment of status. Someone should be able to confirm or refute that.

-If the completed I-130 reaches the consulate prior to your interview for K-3 then the I-130 will over-ride. I have read some posts where depending on the country, they will either just switch the K-3 interview to a CR-1, or the interview is cancelled and one has to wait again for an interview to be rescheduled for the CR-1

or they will just make my interview in US instead of Cairo Embassy ??

Two completely different interviews. The interview in Cairo would be for the CR-1 visa. If adjusting status in the US you do not require another visa as you have already entered on a K-3..you are adjusting status.

if you do CR1, you would have to go back to Cairo for the interview.

If you do AOS is the US, you will have to pay all the $$ again that you paid for your I130 at NVC.
