Request for Initial Evidence I-485

Hello everyone;

We got a letter from USCIS saying that they want us to resend my birth certificate which we already sent in along with I-485 and I-765. But they did not tell us what went wrong. We called call center and representatives just told us to resend it.

But the problem is we don't know the reason why they want us to resend it. Because if it is not acceptable we don't want them to reject it again. We are pretty sure that we sent the proper birth certificate(Turkish Birth Certificate Detailed and translated properly by a certified translator.).

Has anybody encountered this problem before? Or any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance

I - 130

23/04/2007 I-130 sent

19/11/2007 Got the NOA2 in mail.

I - 129

21/06/2007 I - 129 sent to Nebraska instead of Chicago

23/07/2007 NOA -1 from CSC

USCIS often "misplaces" things and asks for them again. Just resend it. Make sure it's clear and legible. Aside from that, there's not much anybody can tell you.

I was asked for my birth certificate twice. I wouldn't worry about the why, the only person who knows that is the one working on your case and you're not going to get to speak to them. It's better just to send what they ask for so that they can get back to processing the case. I'm pretty sure kid brooklyn is right, the other one has probably been 'misplaced'.

They'll want both the Turkish version and the certified translation. Did you just send the translation?
