I am ready to mail my wife's I-485 and I-765 tomorrow. I was just wondering by what method most people mailed their packages. Thanks

3/30/2006 Apply for SSN (Meaw's maiden name)

3/31/2006 Married! San Francisco City Hall

4/07/2006 Received SS card

4/14/2006 Apply for SSN (married name)

4/22/2006 Receive new SS card

5/17/2006 Mail I-485 and I-765

5/19/2006 Package received at Chicago lockbox

5/28/2006 Received NOA 1 for I-485

6/06/2006 Received NOA 1 for I-765

6/10/2006 Received Biometrics appt. letter

7/01/2006 Received RFE (Birth Cert. and I-94 copy, had already mailed it to them, whatever)

7/05/2006 USCIS receives RFE

7/07/2006 USCIS website confirms receipt of RFE

7/24/2006 Letter from USCIS, Interview date!! (September 6, 2006)

9/06/2006 AOS Interview, Success!!

9/11/2006 Letter from USCIS "Welcome to America"

9/13/2006 E-mail from USCIS "We have ordered you a new Green Card"

9/19/2006 Greencard arrived today!!

6/24/2008 Mailed I-751 to CSC

6/27/2008 NOA notice date

7/03/2008 Received NOA in mail

7/07/2008 Biometrics notice date

7/11/2008 Received biometrics appt. notice

7/23/2008 Biometrics taken

10/24/2008 Approved, Card Production Ordered!

10/31/2008 Received 10yr green card in mail!

N-400 Journey

9/17/2009 Mailed N-400 to Phoenix Lockbox

July 01, 2006 :Interview Letter received
Aug 30, 2006 :Interview in Atlanta & got RFE for I-693A! OUCH!!!
November, 2006 :I-693A Sent. The waiting goes on...
April 4, 2007: Infopass & it doesn't help at all!!!
April 18, 2007 :Contacting our Congressman.
May 18, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, Welcome Notice Sent! Finally!!!
April 22, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, GC has been ordered
April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

I used USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation (which also gave me a tracking number, which did not work except to tell me that it had arrived).

Heh - sorry, I should have mentioned that I sent it certified mail with return receipt. I dunno - when I checked on the USPS website it said that I would get updates on the progress of my package, but I never did until it arrived. :)

03.05.2009......I-130 received at Embassy

03.06.2009......Received Police Cert

03.18.2009......I-130 Approved

09.10.2009......Medical Exam

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter
