Yeah, so you have a terse email that we cannot read for ourselves and an 8 point rebuttal 'trashing' a reporter's piece which we also don't have a copy to read for ourselves. What a weak argument...let's just take the journalist's word for it. Come on, man...I thought you were smarter than that?

Seriously. Its pretty inconsequential at the end of the day and has no bearing on his campaig - but is it that hard to say that McCain was rude without having to find some way of excusing it?

Barack Obama passed off a reporter today in Michigan, and she seemed less than amused by his name for her.

"Hold on one second there, sweetie," he says.

The reporter signed off: "This sweetie never did get an answer to that question."
