"If there is a real wave of rights abuses, if we see the National Guard starting to directly participate in detaining people ... we would immediately start filing lawsuits through our consulates," Foreign Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez told a Mexico City radio station. Good for Mexico that Bush has already said the Nat'l Guard won't be doing any of that.

The Guard will assist the Border Patrol by operating surveillance systems, analyzing intelligence, installing fences and vehicle barriers, … building patrol roads and providing training. Guard units will not be involved in direct law enforcement activities.

yeah.. i dunno why they have the idea that national guard = abuse to mexicans.. lol I guess they're projecting themselves of how mexican soldiers treat central-americans in Mexico's south border..

I was reading it in the news.. the freakin' media as usual is making a turmoil out of nothing.. again. USA has their right to do what they want in this side of the border.. if they wanna have 1000 soldiers dressed as chickens they can.. but the mexican media 'thinks' that these soldiers are gonna 'invade' the mexican side of the border.. lolol.. suckers..

Ok just one small question here...........Why doesn't the Mexican government concentrate on improving the living conditions and their economy instead of waisting their time filing lawsuits against the US? Maybe if they could acually survive and thrive in their own country they wouldn't be trying to come to the US illegally just to have a decent life and to feed their families.
