Gas Prices Dropping Like A Rock - $3.50 by Labor Day?

I'm lucky in that I've not reached $4/gallon where I live....I think the most was $3.98.

My co-worker told me the other day that we should be paying 60 cents less a gallon by the end of the summer - let's hope so! I've seen gas prices drop 2 cents in 2 days...

Yesterday I filled up for $3.29 / gallon at the local Valero station near my house. I get an 8 cent per gallon discount for using my Valero credit card. So the price for everyone else was $3.37.

1.) Because the Government made the producers refine the sulfur to a lower content (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel: ULSD).

and 2.) Because the oil refiners realized that truckers were still earning a nominal living and had a patsy in office that allowed them to conduct a "cash grab".

gas is still around the 4 dollar mark around here but it was around $4.50 a few weeks ago so it is getting better....

Still $4.20 here. $0.65 drop so far. ($4.85 it was a month or two ago)

Some aspects of supply and demand are in effect. Not as much traveling at this point, with school coming.

It's still 3.73 here - only down 25 cents. How can it be cheaper in NJ than KS! I guess they are slow.

I topped up the tank at $3.55/gal yesterday, but my husband topped me by filling his at $3.49/gal.
