Hi there. :) I recently travelled back to Australia for a visit and had to use AP to come back to the US. You wont need to show anything (apart from the usual) when you leave the US, but when you get to your POE coming back into the US, you will need to present your AP documents, along with your passport, completed white I-94 (and the customs form). I was directed to go for a 'secondary interview' (I can't remember the exact name) which involved waiting in a room with a few other people until an immigration officer checked that all of my documents were in order. She took one AP form, gave me back the other, stamped my passport, stapled in the new I-94, and wished me well.

Only took about 15/20 minutes total. That was in San Francisco.

Good luck, and have a safe trip back to Aus. :)
