For those who've had K-1 approved at London

Most probably paranoia, but I thought at the end of my interview that something more substantial would have happened. I got a couple of words which indicated it'd been successful, and then was directed to the courier desk.

I didn't get any "Welcome to America", or anything about the POE. No paperwork. I even went BACK to the window as I thought there must be more to it!

There's a little part of me which thinks I missed something important (I left the embassy before it was all finished, or something!), and until I see the visa in my passport, won't believe it's all ok!

I had to ask for my "welcome to America" and the bloke did it with a smile.

I also wasnt told anything about the POE or anything I just got told my visa will be with me by wednesday (got it today)

Yea, it was the same experience for me and I thought there seemed to be something missing too! In fact, I'm not sure the lady even said anything to the effect of "Your approved", maybe just that everything was all in order and where to go for the courier thing.

Anyway, the point is, your all good and I'm sure you will have your visa very shortly! Congrats!!

I felt exactly like you did...The only indication I got that I was approved was, when I was at the first window the guy there said that if I am told to go and buy a Courier envelope, then I was approved...so it sure looks like your Visa is on it's way....Congrats to you

My indication was when the immigration officer said 'Congratulations'. Of course I barely heard her through my tears...

So, congratulations to you too!! I know it's hard to believe at first. After all you go through to get there it does seem as though there should be a fanfare or fireworks to mark the moment!

Sucker??!! I have never ever heard it called that and I was born and raised here. I always said lollipop but maybe it's just another regional thing like people saying "coke", "soda", "pop", etc??

I just remember that "On the good ship Lollipop" song that was made famous by Shirley Temple and they made us sing 5 million times over as kids at tap dancing class!
