It would be great if all employers followed the rules. Soem do not, and others don't bother to check to see if ss#'s are matching or not. There is an abundance of counterfit ss cards, EAD's and green cards out there. It's a shame since those of us who did it by the book have to wait and wait........

Well if E-verify becomes mandatory for all employers it will stop a lot of that BS

One of the few things Bush has done right.

As of June 9, 2008, President George W. Bush has amended Executive Order 12989. This now directs all federal departments and agencies to require contractors, as a condition of each future federal contract, to agree to use an electronic system to verify workers' employment eligibility. In response to this Executive Order, Secretary Michael Chertoff designated E-Verify as the system of choice.

There is a project in Congress that is supposed to pass a new law requiring all employers to verify their employees.

I sincerely hope this happens to stop giving jobs to illegals, makes less jobs available to those of us who seek the legal way to stay in the US.

In my honest opinion ALL illegal employees should be returned and banned from entering the US. Spain has started a new project that the government will pay people to LEAVE (illegal inmigrants) only those that do not belong to the 19 EU Countries.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.
