Hello ,

I am back from our vacation to Cancun MX. It was wonderfull, thank you again to all of you that helped me w/ the info I needed regarding traveling while in process for naturalization. What I realy wanted to share w/ u is I had my appointment yesterday 8/25 and I was approved, now waitting for the OATH Letter.

congrats!!! I'm jealous - you applie sin Jun 08 and have had your interview - I applied Sept 07, and am still waiting - that's not fair!!! LOL

still wondering - what field office was your application processed through?

N400 at California SC, Field office- Los Angeles

Sep 12, 2007 - Priority date

Nov 9,2007 - check cashed

Nov 20,2007 - NOA1: "expect to be notified within 425 days of this notice",

Jan 10, 2008 - fingerprints appointment (letter lost due to mailing address receipted incorrectly)

Feb 7, 2008 - fingerprints done (took about 10 min - as a walk-in)

Sept 8, 2008 - Interview date (letter received Jul 18) - rescheduled at my request

Jan 6, 2009 - Interview date

Feb 26, 2009 - Citizenship Oath

*online status "case received Oct 29", no touches showing.

About 4 months for me - see timeline below.

I did finger prints in June and have the interview on 10/29. I just got my appointment letter in the mail last week. It should take me about 6 months in total to complete the N-400 process. I was expecting about a year, so it is a lot quicker than I thought.

That's very good news! It is great to hear that LA DO is not that slow after all. Hurray!!!

By the way, did you get the yellow letter titled "Case File Review Notice/Interview Document Check List"? If you did, when did you get it? I got mine on 08/08/08.

No. I got a interview document checklist with the appointment letter. The only other correspondence I received from them was the biometrics appointment notice.
