my wife still enroll in college taking up HRM and she schedule to graduate on october......what do i need to put in DEGREE or DIPLOMA ________question. Do i have to leave it blank since she dont have the degree yet?

Hello, im Kathy.

I was reading your timeline and i have a question...

Is it more expensive to file K3 since the AOS cost alot unlike in CR1 its not that much expensive? Someone told me that me and my husband shud take CR1 bcoz its all in a package and its less expensive. I really have no experience at all about these stuffs. We are not starting yet thats why i wanna ask also about ur opnion. Hope u can give me an idea about K3 and CR1.. which is more good and less expensive.. I can wait even it takes longer.

I was reading your timeline and i have a question...

Hello Kathy!

i m also on CR1 and yes its the best as compared to k3 it is less expensive and one thing which is more important that you will not have to go for further process after getting the CR1 visa and you would be able to get green card after arrival in USA.

the reason why we choose CR1 route because it not much a hassle when you get to USA. like Sibtain said, you will get your greencard right away ..good only for two years ( married for less than 2 years )...once your 90 days before the green expires, you just need to file I-751 form to remove its condition...

How much is the total costs of CR1? (just give me some idea about the sum).

And what about the K3, how much?

The K3 AOS once in the U.S. is @ $1010 and the fees for CR1 is @ $400 this is just off the top of my head there is some information on the tabs posted up on the forum.. check the "guides" section and compare the two for your own information. Typically people selected the K3 cause it was faster... now people are getting both approved at the same time... with us we filed for k3 but will take the CR1 when it is time Insha'allah
