I think that maybe I don't mind my poor, struggling, bitter life as long as it allows me to still use my intellect and exercise some sense of dignity towards my fellow man.

It is within the law to arrest and detain illegal aliens for eventual deportation. The USA has only done it millions of times in the past and will do it millions of times in the future. Without enforcement of the laws there is anarchy. Illegal aliens should not be allowed to dictate US immigration policy. Giving illegal aliens permanent residency undermines US immigration laws and is, in effect, an open border policy.

While guys like you seem to believe that is just groovy. It ain't. This isn't the 19th or even the early 20th century anymore. America is a modern industrialized welfare state and allowing open immigration from the third world is suicide. But guys like you hate America anyway, so that sort of scenario makes you happy. As for me...I'm not suicidal.

Agreed. It *IS* within the scope of the law to arrest, detain, deport...whatever. The laws ARE clear about that. But...this lady wasn't a threat at that moment. She was in the throes of childbirth. Have you ever witnessed such an event? Do you really think this lady was going to escape the clutches of the law enforcement agency dudes between contractions and pushing her baby out?
