If this story is true, and I believe there is some truth to it, they should have let her have her child with some dignity and at least be allowed to take care of her baby. Any new mother knows that bonding with ones child is very important and emotional. They should have at least given her that. Where could she have run anyway? Child birth takes all your strength and energy.

But we all have to remember...she is an ILLEGAL...she doesn't deserve any consideration just because she was in labour. Dang, where's a sarcastic thingie when you need one?

It's what you do to the enemy during war. Mexicans are now the enemy; at least we're treating them that way.

Considering the current state of the economy, ILLEGALS - whether Mexican or otherwise - are the enemy. Jobs are disappearing quickly here in Indiana (which is mainly a NON-college-educated workforce) and we'd like to keep the few that we have for the LEGAL residents of the state. With taxes in my county already in the top 10 for the state, I don't need any more taken from my paycheck to supply services for illegals. (Yes, we have federal tax, state tax, county tax, AND city tax deductions here in Putnam County)

Start babbling about how I'm racist or a "hater" - I don't give a sh!t. But when my paychecks get smaller and smaller, I take aim at every single unnecessary drain on my income.

I totally agree and no, it hasn't clouded your judgment...my comment was meant to be taken sarcastically, not literally though There isn't a sarcastic thingie to use for emphasis.

I am a mother too (had some very hard labours too) and I am horrified that anyone...illegal or not...was treated worse than any animal would be. The fact that she has been labelled as an "ILLEGAL" seem to give others the impression they have the right to treat her horribly.
