Was this woman drunk? Or is that also assumed that her "careless driving" must be the result of drink driving studies show that "those people" won't get behind the wheel without first downing a half bottle of tequila?

it just mentions that she was pulled over for routine traffic violation and when asked to show her license she told the officer she didn't have one.. and instead of just giving her a citation he arrested her...

because it is illegal to drive with out a license

You don't need to be a citizen or even legal to get a DL in all states, just as an aside.

She was stopped on July 3 in her husband’s pickup truck by a police officer from Berry Hill, a Nashville suburb, initially for “careless driving.†After Mrs. Villegas told the officer she did not have a license, he did not issue a ticket but arrested her instead. Elliott Ozment, Mrs. Villegas’s lawyer, said driving without a license is a misdemeanor in Tennessee that police officers generally handle with a citation, not an arrest.

For all we know she could have been traveling at 90. Careless driving can and will lead to deaths. If she had crashed and killed her baby while doing 90 I am sure you would have nothing to say. AJ would not be concerned / 'outraged' about the situation then.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

BY, you arguments are illogical not inconsistant. We can't accuse you of inconsistancy, ever.

PH you cannot be that stupid. I don't agree with 98% of you posts so to me your arguments are illogical. Do you get the point or not..

Crikey, you can get more illogical. Well done BY, I wouldn't have believed it was possible but you managed it.

For clarity, should it be required, I do not think your arguments are illogical BECAUSE I don't agree with them. Ho hum.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

The fact is she was pulled over for careless driving. And then later stated she did not have a license.

They can and they will - her having a baby who is a US citizen will not prevent her from being deported.

and the baby goes to mexico too? they done send US citizens out of the country. Why do you think they want to have their babies here ?????

It doesn't say - but presumably her husband must be a USC, otherwise he'd be up for deportation as well.

And it does not suggest otherwise. So he could be an illegal immigrant.

He could be - sure. As I said - I would imagine that if he were the whole family would be up for eviction.

Of course not. I loves me a dead baby.

Great. So then show me where exactly I am illogical in this thread.

I don't think they would have used the term "routine traffic violation" for going 90.... she was arrested for not having a license not for the traffic violation...

Yes, the baby goes too unless the mother decided to place the baby with someone in the US who is a legal citizen. This has happened many times before and it will happen many times again.

Well we do not know that is the point. Maybe the police are looking for him.

You still fail to recognise that it still doesn't justify ankle-chaining a heavily pregnant woman going into labour. Noone is justifying the woman's "illegalness" or her traffic stop or anything associated with her immigration status or choices.
