Hello I'm trying to figure out to answer question #22 on the I-130

Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status.

Your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in

Now I'm submitting my entire I-130 and I-485 bundle to the Chicago IL lockbox, so I'm 99% sure that's the location I should put here. But I'm wondering if I should instead put my local location of Boston, MA since I"m not keen on driving on doing an interview in Chicago IL because I mis-interpreted the question :P

09/03/08 - Sent I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 to Chicago Lockbox

09/11/08 - Checks cashed

09/15/08 - NOA received

09/16/08 - Biometrics appointment for 09/30/08

09/30/08 - Biometrics completed - cases available online

11/20/08 - EAD and AP approved

11/25/08 - AP received

12/01/08 - EAD received

02/10/09 - AOS Interview - Green card approved :D

02/20/09 - Green Card received

In question #22 you put the city and state you reside in and then send it to the Chicago Lockbox. You will not have to go to Chicago for the Interview they will assign it to your local office when it's time.

Hope that helps

That's right, write down your closest local office in your state, that office will adjudicate your application and that's where the interview will take place. Chicago lockbox is just a fronting operation where they receive and sort all applications, after which they are sent to the National Benefits Center in Missouri, which then forwards the AOS and I-130 to the local office. Hope I wasn't too confusing. :)
