Hi, I’m so confused. If my foreign fiancé can prove that he has enough savings (assets) to support himself, do I no longer have to complete an affidavit of support. I just can’t seem to find a straight answer on this!

02/19/08 - Mailed I-129F Package to Vermont USCIS

02/21/08 - According to USPS tracking, package delivered/signed for

02/22/08 - NOA1 - According to online status, the date the package was received by USCIS

02/27/08 - Check cleared

03/14/08 - Touched

05/05/08 - NOA2 notice via email notification!

Sorry haven't been updating this properly. Medical has been completed.

07/24/08 - Interview!! -- Approved in just over 5 months!!

Hello:

Ah, this is a question I DO know about! Your fiances assets do NOT count for the K-1 visa, you need to go by your assets, but they DO count for the AOS after you are married.

How is that the foreign fiance assets matter in AOS ? unless he sells all his assets and converts it into US dollars and bring to USA ? I dont get it ?
