Hi,

We have all of the documents ready to go except the affidavit of support as it is being filled out by a family friend in the US. I would really love to know if we send back the applicant's statement saying we have everything on the checklist, how long does it take to get the interview? Just trying to figure out if it's worth doing that if the wait for the interview is months instead of weeks. Any info would be really, really appreciated.

Thanks a lot!!

It tends to vary at different times of the year. Last October/November, we had the interview less than three weeks after sending the checklist and DS-230 Part 1. Currently, I've heard it's longer, like closer to two months. If you'll have the joint sponsor's I-864 and documents within the next two or three weeks, I would go ahead and send the DS-230 Part 1 and checklist now.

Hi

We're doing DCF through London as well- we mailed off the checklist (can't remember exact date) and about 2 weeks later (on July 3rd) we received our letter saying our appointment was scheduled for July 28th (only a few more days to go!). We were thrilled- we were expecting to have to wait longer for the appointment.

Assumming there won't be any hold ups with the affidavit of support I'd go ahead and mail it in.

Good luck!
