Hello there!!

I'm so glad I found you guys. I'm preparing all required documents myself and I really need some help.

I'm an american and my russian wife just became naturalized about a year ago. We want to bring both of her parents over.

Here is the list of docs I believe I need to do this:

I-130 (filled out by my wife, the sponsor, for each parent). Total of 2

I-864 (filled out by my wife, the sponsor, for each parent) Total of 2

I-864A (filled out by me, the cosponsor, for each parent) Total of 2

In section 13, second line where it asks you to (indicate number), what number are they asking for???

Also, do we sign all of these forms or do some of them have to be notarized before signing.

Copies of tax returns from the last three years and W-2's. We filled jointly, so when I-864 asks for her income, do I have to split it up and figure our separate individual income again??

Proof of citizenship, for both of us

Proof of family relationship (My wife's birth certificate should suffice?)

Fees for each I-130

Employment letter

Is there anything I'm missing?? Do I send all documents together?

I really appreciate any help you could offer. Or if you could direct me to a post where I can find all the info I need.

Thanks in advance.

I am almost finished with this process. i am brining my mom to live here with me. First you have to file I-130 with USCIS and rest of the paperwork will have to be filed with NVC( national Visa Center). It took USCIS about 6 month to aproove my I-130 and then they sent it out to NVC who asked for the rest of the docs.

Here is link to instructions to I-130. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-130instr.pdf They are very easy to fallow. But remember that for mother and father there is a diff in the docs you need to send to proove the relationship. You dont have to file I-864 or any tax returns or W2s till you get to NVC stage.

One your paparwork is at NVC it will be useful for you to read this link:

You can look at my signature you figure out when and about how long things will change. One thing i can sudgest is pick yourself as an agent for paperwork with NVC - it is quicker and easier since everything they going to send is in english. Have your parents send you everything before you will even need it. it will cut on time of your aplication. you can read more about it in the link above. i had to send NVC ORIGINALS of my birth sertificate, my mariage sertificate, my moms birth sertificate, my mom's marige sertificate, my dad's death sertificate, palice sertificate. they do request originals and will not take notorized copies, so i would sudgest your parents going not and geting second originals from apropriate place where they live. My mom took a copy of her stuff and told they she lost the originals - that is the only way she could get second originals... you can fill out DS-230 for them and send it to them to sign or just have them download it and sign it and send it back to you. i hope it helped and i didnt confuse you....

Good luck and i hope it will go quick for you!

Can only add, since your wife is working, may help if she files a I-864A so she also accepts liability for her parents.
