Every girl probably goes out with a "bad boy" at some point, they generally do not marry them.

Nah...not every girl. At least *I* didn't...believe it or not. I never had the least desire to go out with any of those "bad boys". :D

 Same here. And I'd also add that very few of my friends have dated 'bad boys' - and those that did weren't exactly at fault as the guys only really revealed their true character after they started dating.

Like I said, it's not that the women like to date the jerk, but that the jerk is probably pretty charismatic and confident. It's not like he starts out saying 'hi, I'm a jerk.' Just like the guy isn't dating the shallow hot woman because she is shallow, but because she is hot. It's the same thing.

That makes sense. First impressions aren't all what they are cracked up to be. I've found that to be the case even when it's getting to know people as friends. It's not always easy to tell right off the bat who are the a$$holes and who are people you'd want to be friends with.

Ha, is this a women's or a men's topic, can't tell by the handles used, but I just happened to be a guy that really doesn't care what kind of guys the gals go after.

Turn offs for me are women that make a couple of bucks by taking off their clothes in public, say like at a strip joint. Also those that can't control their weight, slap on tons of makeup, put all the rings in their face, and get their bodies plastered with tattoo's. Really don't care for those mammary glands that drag on the floor. Plenty of those around, too much as a matter of fact.

While my feelings may have been hurt in grade or high school by those nicer looking gals that went for the wild guys, a couple years of growth, and even becoming a bit wild myself quickly learned these gals were immature for lack of a better word, had fairly low IQ's with a vocabulary and topic knowledge limited to the latest rock stars.

Kind of set my sights on a professional woman around 5'2-4", 36-24-36 in the 110-120 pound range, ha, am an engineer by trade so have to have a tolerance, took awhile to find one, but they are there and not necessarily in the USA. Well, 5"3", 36-24-35, and 122 pounds, she kind of thought I was nuts for asking to see her without makeup, but that was on the second date, has a beautiful natural looking face, well, at least in my opinion, but that is the only one that counts. For intelligence and conversation, in our recent 8 hours in the car together for her citizenship interview, we talked all the way to the field office and all the way back with a just a minutes break covering a huge variety of subjects.

Another requirement is that she liked me, this is where meeting the right person narrows the search down to being in the miracle stage. I just happen to be exactly what she was looking for.

Other factors include that your personalities complement each other while birds of a feather may flock together really can't have a team if you both have the same attributes, have more like conflicts. Just another minor factor I don't know if I should bring up, but that deals with sexual compatibility, we both refrained from such activity until a very deep platonic relationship developed, but agreed it was important to test before marriage can take place. My only response to this, is WOW where each is free to give totally to each other. Refraining from this very popular first or second date activity also develops deep trust in a marriage, and you can't have a good marriage without trust. We have never been jealous toward each other.

The real key disadvantage to our relationship is and was that constant chaperoning by the USCIS that has been with us since we first started getting serious. Since that long journey is coming to an end, we wonder if we can still have a relationship without them. We just happen to be a couple from two different countries, ironically, our nationalities are very close. Just so happen, my roots got on a boat for North American, and hers on a boat to South America, but the circle is now complete, we were very fortunate to meet each other.

We, with very bad first marriages did our homework to learn what makes a marriage work, they don't teach that in schools. Ha, while typing this, called my sweetheart for a date, one of her favorite bands is coming to town. Was so happy when she said yes. Who in the heck is "Reo Speedwagon"? But whatever makes her happy.

Hmmmm, quick to judge women who go for wild guys, I see. Have you considered that something similar might be said about men who come up with height and weight requirements for potential mates?

some only go out with bad boys their entire life until they realize that none of them will ever be marriage material, so they decide to find themselves a good boy, that they can trust and marry. After years of dating the bad, they'll have them out of their system.

Hopefully the limited supply of good guys are smart enough to avoid these types of girls.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

That's heartwarming that you didn't disqualify her for being two pounds over your required weight range.

smart enough to avoid women who might have actually grown up and developed a mature outlook to relationships? Interesting.

Actually, sounds a little Napoleonic *winks*, if you know what I mean... :jest:

what types of girls? the type that are more attracted to the bad but prefer to have a serious relationship with the good guy?

If I were the ''good guy'' and wanted to settle down, I'd be smart enough to want a girl that wants to be in a serious relationship, period.

I was never able to get on with guys who went in for pub talk objectifying women and writing them off as "rough" or "mingers", as it were assumed that the woman had no taste or say in who she went out with - and that therefore she would be somehow 'lucky' to go out with anyone. That kind of stuff was never my bag.

I always bring measuring tape with me on the first date.
