Hi!

My wife's kids are scheduled for their "interview" this Friday. I'm not sure how they can "interview" a two and a three year old but that's another matter . . .

What do they need to bring with them? I thought all the papers I already filed with the K1 would be sufficient but some are telling me I need to do a new Affidavit of Support, send pictures of me with the kids, new petition applications, etc.

They finished the medical last week. They have passports, birth certificates and the 2x2 photos.

Do I need to do a new affadavit of support, send copies of tax returns again, etc?

Or what do they need with them?

I've been calling the embassy since they opened this morning but their system is having "technical difficulties" and just keeps telling me to call back later.

Those links answered a few questions but also raised more.

No pictures. No additional affadavit of support. No new application.

It says another visa application is not required but you must pay the visa application fee. How do you do that without an application?

It says proof of their mother's status here. What would qualify, a photocopy of her green card?

I'm assuming a certified copy of our marriage license from here would suffice for relationship proof.

If I remember correctly I had separate I-134s for wife and daughter.

I guess you have to get document verification for both kids also.

I'd go with the DS 157 to pay the fee.

I just got off the phone with the consulate. Apparently, the info in the links I was referred to above is wrong.

This is the list they told me to make sure the kids have with them for the K2 interview:

NSO Birth Certificates

DS-156

DS-157

Affadavit of Support w/ documentation (i.e. tax returns, etc.)

Passports

Certified copy of marriage license

Photocopy of wife's green card

So either the above links are incorrect or the consulate information service is incorrect. My wife's cousin's daughter was told last week she would need to come back again because she didn't bring in another affadavit of support. This is contrary to what is on the embassies own website so . . . I'm confused.

I guess I'll send everything I can again just to have it in case.

Ohh, I'm so sorry, the link I gave you is for K1, you are applying for your wife's daughters so you'll be applying for K2. I am deeply sorry, I was the cause of your confusion. Yeah the ones you listed above are the requierments for K2. You need a new notarized affidavit of support.
