Just wondering how many other VJ'ers are in Illinois. I know that SpiritAlight is close by.

If not here, where is everyone?

I'M HERE!!

And I will be available after mid August for meeting you all....let's meet, one and all.

Yippee!

:star:

I wish I was in Chicago. I love that city with all of my heart.

Its gorgeous.

I'll be there in two weeks for lollapalooza. :D

I don't know how Chicago looks, never been there :P

Seriously

It is so safe and so lovely.

Come and see the Lake and Lincoln Park and Millennium Park and Chinatown and...

:star: :star: :star:

Yep, We're in Illinois! We currently live in Vandalia, but we're moving to Berwyn in the middle of August so we're really close to all you Palatine and Schaumberg people :P

Well , SpiritAlight is gonna be gone for vacation ( again :P) for a few weeks apparently, so waiting until you move to Berwyn shouldn't be a problem! :D

Yeah! Great timing...

I don't feel it is a vacation, I am calling it a re-filling of my soul...the part that emptied here.

:star:

Sept 2 would probably be ok. My hubby to be works 12 hour swing shifts. I know he mentioned that one of the other operators will be on vacation at that time. So he could very well be working.

We could start with lunch and carry on until we are done. Maybe meet at a Denny's in Schaumburg. I think I know where there is one and I don't think it's too hard to find. Let me check out the maps and see about that.

What does everyone else think?

There is a Denny's at 1700 E Higgins Rd in Schaumburg. Think about it.....

Sounds good to me :) Something like

VJ Canada forum North Illinois Meetup

When: September 2nd 2008

What time: 11h30 am

Where: Denny's 1700 E Higgins Rd, Schaumburg. 60173 Mapquest

Who: BH45, Mephys, SpiritAlight, David_n_Amber

Meeting all together for good lunch, good conversation, to share fun and stuff and all cry about missing Canada :D

Prescription: To be repeated as many times as needed in the future and with more people

How's that sound ?

im in for a good ol' dennys breakfast meal lol

So we count you in ?

I don't feel it is a vacation, I am calling it a re-filling of my soul...the part that emptied here.

:star:

Awwwww :star: I wish I could refill my soul more often

Hey you Illinoisians, hahaha how's that for a name??

This sounds great.

I love how much notice we need to make to be certain that it can happen, and I love the invitation!

I have never been one to make commitments further away than a day or two...hee hee...and I believe this will work for me.

(I just never know where I will be at any given moment.)

So, will it be just the spouses that are the Cannukians?

I look very forward to meeting all of you vis-a-vis and laughing lots...no more tears please.

YIPPEE!!!

:star:

As far as you Mephys and refilling of souls:

I wish for you to be able to create such a world for yourself as well.

It is not always easy, and it is so worth it.

You are young and there is much time.... (L)

Spirit.....ummmm.....no promises on the "no more tears please". I'm still a "newbie" to the area. In fact, today is our 1 month church wedding anniversary so.....

I'll try but no guarantees. :)

Unfortunately, it's gonna be a no go for me.

First off, me and my husband barely have any time to be together ALONE with our job and his 3 kids, so evening or week-ends won't be possible for me.

And besides I thought that this meeting we are organizing right now was more a "canadians get together" with no husbands. Ya know to talk about stuff we miss or the way we adjust, etc, etc. my husband would personnaly not like to be there for that kind of girl talk. For me it's more like me and SpiritAlight wanted to go take a coffee together, and were just making it bigger by making a lunch with more people.

I'm sure if you guys wanted to make a big VJ meeting with your husbands and all you can organize something as well, I would just not be part of it.

Oh well, you don't need to try, if you want to cry you are more than welcome.....gotta let the bad stuff out!!!

Unfortunately not all the Illinois Canadians are female. My husband is the Canadian and I lived there with him for over 3 years. If there is ever a couples get together then I guess we would be up for that.

I understand that. It's just so far all the people in Illinois Canadian wise that have talked about it are female.
