I have found two USCIS web pages that tell me two different things! I need to file my K1 from North Carolina. This page says I should send to Texas, but this page says to send to Vermont. Anyone know for sure?

June 1997 - Met at summer camp; became friends over the next two years but lost touch

August 2007 - Ron finds Jody on Facebook and relationship begins

September 2007 - Ron visits Jody in US

October 2007 - Ron visits Jody in US on and off for 9 months

July 17, 2008 - Ron returns to Germany

August 20, 2009 - Jody visited Ron in Germany for 10 days after 13 months apart!

May 15, 2010 - Ron visited Jody on VWP

Legally married - May 20, 2010 (after 13 years, couldn't stand being apart anymore!)

AOS postmarked - August 17, 2010

AOS NOA1 - August 25, 2010

AOS interview (rescheduled from Jan. due to winter storm closing) - March 17, 2001 - APPROVED!!!

You would file your case at the Vermont Service Center because you live in North Carolina. Texas doesn't take I-129F applications any more. There are only two service centers that deal with that which is California and Vermont. The address is:

USCIS

Vermont Service Center

Attn:I-129F

75 Lower Welden Street

St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

Hope that helps. Good luck with your journey.

Thank you for clearing that up! Believe it or not, my attorney thinks it's still Texas -- she hasn't filed a petition for a K1 in over a year. Kinda makes me nervous! Good thing I'm doing my own research. One has to wonder what the legal fees are for....

I would agree with you. When I asked our attorney in which Service Center he thinks our case would be. He answered "Chicago Lockbox will decide to which center they would pass your case."

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

i cant blieve attorneys are not sure what to do either. nothing against you, but if an attorney showed some uncertainity, i would be reluctant to hire them...

Good Luck!

hi guys, i just want to clarify something if the application will be sent through courier/express delivery it should be addressed to Chicago Lockbox.

Any U.S. resident petitioner submitting a completed I-130 by courier/express delivery, should use the following address:

USCIS Lockbox

Attn: SAI-130

131 South Dearborn – 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

*a US resident means any petitioner that resides in the US regardless if a CITIZEN OR LPR

am i right?

is USPS a courier service?

please help me differentiate between

USCIS Lockbox

Attn: SAI-130

131 South Dearborn – 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

and

USCIS

P.O. Box 804625

Chicago, IL 60680-4107
