I am sure this has been discussed but after a quick search I didn't find much. My fiance's interview is Friday (yeah!) and I had read to dress nice but not to overdress. Then he was reading somewhere that a tie would be appropriate. We had planned on him wearing dockers, a button down shirt and nice shoes. Should he wear a tie? I know this must seem minor but we are so worried about doing something wrong or not being prepared.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Ties are certainly not required but if it makes him more comfortable, sure.

I wore a button down shirt, nice pants and nice sandals. I think having good evidence and knowing that your case is solid is a lot more important, but I certainly wouldn't go in there wearing a Metallica t shirt and ripped jeans

You will need to dress appropriately but not to the extent of getting a tie. I think that is too much. But you never know with interviews. Just wear clothes that are comfortable at the same time appropriate. No holes in any clothing and not too much cologne or parfume. Good luck

Thanks for everyone's help. I think what we have picked out for him to wear will be fine. He has a conference call with our lawyer on Monday to go over the interview and he may say dress up more but I think these clothes will be fine. We are having last minute nerves!

I seem to recall my husband wore jeans and a nice shirt (untucked). There was a woman there in a pair of low-slung jeans with a thong with all these straps peeking above the waistband, and a cropped top. As far as I could tell she was approved too.
