Well Hello to all my VJ family. Hope all u guys are doing well and your journey is going smoothly! I know I have been outta the loop for some time now, but I do peak in and around every now and then to see what's been going on. To those of you who are new here, let me first intro myself as one of the "old heads" of VJ.

Well y'all, our visa journey is now dwindling down....our citizenship interview is scheduled for next month and we filed in april...that didn't take as long as we thought it would. :dance: :dance: :dance:

I know there is a forum for "citizenship...N400" but I wanted to post here because this is the forum where I feel my visa journey started and I(we) have roots here. :yes:

I want to say thank you to all that have given advice to us and all that have come to me for advice. I will still peek in and out from time to time just to see how it's going. Please feel free to email or PM me whenever there is a need to. And to those VJ members who i shared phone conversations with, just remember im still your sistah and i do think about u guys all the time and I do miss you!

Good to hear from you, I remember you well. I dont know if you remember me. I cant believe it has been so long that your next step it Citizenship!! I am so glad that you updated everyone, its important for people going through this process to know that there are strong and lasting Sub Saharan relationships.

Did you have that one interview before the citizenship VISA ? I'm still waiting for INS to ask to see my behind at least somewhere in the process. I could have been a fake or using someone else's papers and they don't even seem to friggin know anything about me since my SO arrived.

The longer it takes to introduce yourself the less you've actually accomplished

RFE - received in mail March 29th,04

RFE returned April 17th,04

RFE received April 21,04 at NSC online

NOA2 received April 29th,04 via online

NOA2 received May 03,04 in mail

NVC receives file May 6th,04

NVC sends file to Nigeria May 11th,04

Lagos receives our file, notified thru e-mail May 19th,04

Victor goes and picks up packet #3....May 20th,04

Sent request for earlier interview date via e-mail May 20th,04

May 27th, Lagos won't change date.

August 16th, 2004 fly to Nigeria for Victors interview

August 19th, 2004 Interview date, visa approved.

August 25th, 2004 Victor picks up passport with visa stamp.

August 26th, 2004 fly back to USA

September 18th, 2004 Victor arrives in USA, Lord willing.

October 9th, 2004, we become husband and wife

October 25th, 2004 I learn that I'm pregnant.

Feburary 25th, 2005 AOS Appointment

( went to appt. and requested a reschedule)

June 7th, 05 gave birth to a boy child.

July 5th, 05 Victor packs he suitcase and leaves for good.

July 2005 2nd AOS appointment

( went and requested a reschedule )

August 2005- I file for divorce. and withdraw immigration paperwork.

No, the only time we went in was for Iyke's biometrics for the citizenship appl.(N400). That lasted last than 5mins. From what we are hearing from friends is that at the interview next month, all they will basically want to see is our past 3yrs tax returns just to make sure we are still legally married and then they will administer Iyke a test with possibly 5 questions on it. The test will be checked and if he passes, he'll get the approval and informed of when he can take the oath. One of our friends wife took the oath right after the test in the office with the CO. Man, he is praying to get that approval cos all he talks about is voting in November......BARACK OBAMA....'08..ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!
