I believe that they have changed their process and are no longer notifying people on the K1 like they used to. Brnid is the unfortunate expert here. Wresgirl, Wow how quirkey is that? You can't go there because of the war and he obviously can't come here...how are you supposed to see him?? Make sure you check things out for your own knowledge but sounds like trying to see him and refiling is the way to go.

It really is difficult and I can sympathize with her. It is extremely difficult to get out of Iraq now because most of the countries surrounding Iraq have shut down their borders. It is possible Turkey may let him in. Jordan has sealed its borders with only a few very rare exceptions, same with Syria. It took my husband one year and three attempts to finally get into Jordan, so whatever she decides, it would be best if her fiance started trying now. If she were to marry him she would then have the option to bring him as a spouse or as a refugee dependent on her and her SOs preference.

Iran does still allow people in, but mostly only shia will go that route. It depends on what sect her husband is to determine if that is a viable option. Also, Iran doesn't have an American consolute so her husband would have to leave Iran in order to go to his interview.
