Hey guys,

My first time posting. Am new here. I would like for you to help me with this question I have.

My mom has forwarded the DS-230 Forms part 1 and part2 package to the USIS. Can you guys please tell me how long will I have to wait for my appointment date?

I hope I am not the only person here feeling like this. I just want it to be over with soon.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

we need some more info... for example, from what you write I assume your mother is petitioning for you? If so, is she a US citizen or a green card holder? How old are you (it matters whether you are under or over 21), and are you married?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

ty guys. I am not married and I am over 21years old and my mom is a US citizen.

She send of the DS-230 package last Friday 11th of July, 08.

Sunshine, welcome to VJ. The DS-230 goes to the NVC not USCIS.

All that info about your age and marital status does not matter at this time. Once the DS-230 is requested and sent to the NVC, it is processed like any other. IT means that a visa number is available for you and they are ready to process it. The next step is for you to hear a case complete and get an interview date if there was no problems with the DS-230. Did your mom send 2 passport pics with the DS-230? If all is well you should hear a case complete soon and then wait for an interview date to be assigned.

I think you will have a long wait for an interview date as there are people on here in the yardie thread who are waiting since March to get an interview date. Come join us in the yardie thread in the regional forums and you will get great advice and support.

I wish you all the best and good luck with getting an early interview date.

Good luck to you.

I am also waiting to hear from NVC that my case is complete. Anyway, me and my husband submitted already all the requirements to the NVC last August 5. But 'till now never heard anything from them yet. It's such a long process and a long time of waiting to get a US visa... We'll just keep our faith and hopefully we'll get our visas soon. :star:
