I'm assuming at this point that the Canadians feel like they have to take a cue from th U.S. Customs Agents and be as rude and impolite as humanly possible. I crossed last night at Port Huron, MI/Bluewater and was given "The Treatment". I have crossed the Border between our 2 countries over 100 times and have noticed it getting progressively worse on both sides recently. I used to love coming to Canada, but I honestly think this is my last trip. There is no reason in the world for a law abiding citizen, which I am, to be treated with the amount of hostility that I experienced last night.

That really sucks. I remember when I came back from my tour in Korea, I was greeted by real nasty US Customs agents. I guess they don't think that they could possibly be courteous and do their job at the same time.

Some are really cool, but they are few and far between. They don't wear name tags on the Canadian side. I asked the guy for his name and her said "My name isn't important". I said "I want to file a complaint against you". He got pi$$ed and said if I wanted to do that he would stop processing all of the other papers (I'm touring with "The Warped Tour"). There were about 30 of us in there at that point. Obviously I had to let it go, but Monday I'll call. It won't do any good more than likely.

When Lara went back home after her trip to Scotland, she turned her cell phone on after she got of the plane. Her phone rang and a US Customs Officer threatened to arrest and put the handcuffs on her if she didn't turn it off.

They must turn into a non human being when they put there uniform on.

Unbelievable. I think these people were probably tormented as children. Now they have found the perfect career to exact revenge on the human race.

I am sorry you had that experience. You can send a complaint letter identifying the exact time of your experience along with a description of the officer to the Canada Border Services and you should get a response, although it will probably be along the lines of ' the border authority is protecting the country and has the authority to do what he/she does'. Still, he/she doesn't need to be rude.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

First- I'm not from Canada, but still feel bad you encountered an a$$.

Second- You are traveling with the Warped Tour?! Kewl. Too kewl. I love We The Kings and Charlotte Sometimes (L) !! I think they are part of the whole tour.

Okay enough of my extreme sport envy.

Thanks. I'm going to stop on the way out and talk to somebody, though it will be in Quebec. The Officer was pi$$ed because some of the buses for the tour came to that crossing instead of Windsor, where they were supposed to be. They were unprepared for such a large amount of people. He told me I wasn't supposed to be there, when in fact I was. That's the point when things started going downhill. This tour shouldn't has scheduled a show with only 12 hours for a crossing, so I am slightly sympathetic. I am also sympathetic to those who have bad experiences with the U.S. Agents.

Charlotte Sometimes is actually the only band I have watched (for a few songs). They were pretty good. I have video, but the sound quality doesn't do them justice, so I didn't post it on YouTube.

Some are jerks, but not all! keep in mind we do have at least ONE cdn border person that is a VJ member, and as far as we know, she is very nice, and competent, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Oui! Or is it Wii (like Nintendo Wii, hee hee)?

I'm in Montreal already. An uneventful trip, thank God. Next stop Baaaastan.

P.S. Word on the street is that they were giving the Producer a hard time as well.

Well then, that makes it all the better. No? LOL. Be safe.
