congrats Karen,

But I think I missed something, you said that he got a 221(g) for what. Aren't they only used for soft denials to hard denials? I have never heard anyone get as 221(g) to say they were approved. Please clarify because I am confused.

Thanks

welll it was my impression that most men get this in morocco, not sure i do believe it is for adittional security checks, that is what the co told him to make sure things are ok. hope that helps some karen&jawhar

The 221g stamp is pretty much standard there now. Abdel got one too in his passport but they kept it so we didn't know about it until I was looking at it when I was making copies for the AOS paperwork. He had the black stamp that some others have mentioned.

"What the 221G is for adminstrative review right?? Im confused with that one and when they actually deny you. So if you are on adminstrative review they actually stamp that in your passport? Why? whats the point?"

In June of last year, Hicham got that stamped in his passport as well as he waited for the namecheck to come back. The stamp says papers received on ________ (the interview date was put there). Basically, it is proof that the consulate has your paperwork (in care they dare say you didn't turn it all in).
