Thanks for that link. I just looked at it briefly and there are some good recipe's on there. Most Nigerian recipe sites use the metric system and when I try to convert them to our own system (cups, tsp, etc) they don't seem to translate well. I've been trying to get a recipe for Pof-Pof (puff-puff) but all the ones I've found are metric measurements. Does anyone have a good recipe for that? My husband loves Pof-Pof. He used to wake up every morning and buy them.

I don't know what Pof-Pof is, maybe you can try to google it, but I bet if you ask that lady on the site she may be able to help you. Also she has some videos on there showing how to cook different African foods, kinda like Rachael Ray and them.

I have seen this site before. I especially like the fact that you can 'watch' her cook.

Akinstacey - I can't remember where ... but a while back I found a receipe for Pof Pof. I am NOT a cook, so one can only imagine the frustration I had with waiting for the mixture to rise (it takes a long time), then trying not to burn the tips of my fingers. When everything was finished, let's just say that my sister in-law called and was sooooooo excited that I was trying to cook the dish; as for my husband - he only ate a few pieces just to make me happy. But like I said ...I am NOT a cook.

Thanks, I found the video, and after seeing them I do know what they are and have eaten them, they are really good, seems to be quick and easy to make, I gonna try .

Ebay is good place to find cook books. There is a cookbook I found there Nigerian Cookbook by Miriam Isoun and H O Anthonio

It was about $26 but it gives measurements in what they call handy measure ( handfulls and such units ) and in American

measure Puff Puff is on page 217 I showed it to a Nigerian I know and he said the foods were authentic.

There was a recipie thread, I will see if I can find it and bump it, I know that Afrofood link was in that thread too. I remember watching it with Justice and he said that the fried rice was not like the fried rice that he was used too. But I still found it helpful.
