Hi, my name is Jo. My fiancee, Ron, has been denied further tourist visas for a year due to too many long-term visits this year! We are almost ready to file our K1 paperwork. He went back to Germany yesterday and I'm really sad being without him, especially knowing I won't see him for many months while we wait for his visa. I can't travel to see him until New Year's. Anyone feel like telling me it will all be ok? I miss him sooooo much!

June 1997 - Met at summer camp; became friends over the next two years but lost touch

August 2007 - Ron finds Jody on Facebook and relationship begins

September 2007 - Ron visits Jody in US

October 2007 - Ron visits Jody in US on and off for 9 months

July 17, 2008 - Ron returns to Germany

August 20, 2009 - Jody visited Ron in Germany for 10 days after 13 months apart!

May 15, 2010 - Ron visited Jody on VWP

Legally married - May 20, 2010 (after 13 years, couldn't stand being apart anymore!)

AOS postmarked - August 17, 2010

AOS NOA1 - August 25, 2010

AOS interview (rescheduled from Jan. due to winter storm closing) - March 17, 2001 - APPROVED!!!

Just about everyone here has been or is going through that. This journey requires alot of patience. Don't "believe" but know that you will be reunited.

Welcome to VJ :)

welcome to vj may ur journey be swift and problem free

I have not seen perviz in 16 months he can not come on visitor visa because of the country he lives in but i know in my heart it will all work out and we will be together again.........the journey sometimes is easy for some and harder for others......but if it is short or long patience is needed and learning how to deal with the separation that the visa journey requires  now that sounds totally stupid required separation from the one u love by our usa government  anyways just learn to do the things that take ur mind off of what ur going thru and know that one day it will be over and u will be together again........everyone here has been thru it or is currently going thru it......

hang in there, waiting is very difficult. but after surviving the long wait, you will have added a lot of important ingredients to your relationship. patients, problem solving, and a whole list of other things. this process weeds out the weak realtionships, and leaves standing the truly strong ones. take the positive from it. try not to dwell on the negative's. read and learn from other pp's experience here. we wish you a speedy reunion....Ron & Jo (jojie)

Welcome to VJ!

Waiting is really terrible but somehow it will develop your patience. Hang in there.. I haven't saw my fiance ( husband in 3 days time) for 9 months but the waiting will surely end and you'll be surprise it seems like yesterday!

I empathize.

We have only been seperated for 3 months alot less than some, and though we have the luxury of VWP we have other issues which mean we will probably be apart till the process is over.

Some days are harder than others. But then each day ends. TTL

I feel for you honey, it sucks being apart. The longest we were apart was when I filed the K-3 and Cr-1, I think it was like 6+ months....we used the MSN messanger with web cam.

The good news is when your SO gets here you will forget all about that, and you will move on with your life together and never look back. (F)

This could be a good time for you to become focused on the visa process. To learn everything you can about how your paperwork can be filed. To get things in order here for when Ron returns - permanently. Do you have Skype in order to call him? This could be something you can set up - so that you can be in verbal contact with him. Perhaps, a web cam would be in order as well. Things like this makes the distance not seem so great.

Welcome to VJ!!

Welcome to VJ, Jo!

Have patience, the wait will be worth it!

I thought for Germany you don't need a tourist visa, you just get a waiver on the plane and then you can stay for 90 days? Or was he staying longer than 90 days each visit?

Either way, good luck on your journey!
