hello VJr's

Just something that I have been thinking about lately. I have been here for awhile now and finally my husband has an interview date for July 31st. :D , BUT I have been so stressed out, anxious, and have had all sorts of emotions....about this coming to an end and finally being in the arms of my husband and starting our future together.

I sent him last week every lil piece of paper that was collected during this whole process ( yes i have made copies of what was sent to him). I just don't want any of the officers to have any reason for well ""You know"" , to give us bad news :(

Of course, we are not celebrating just yet, because who knows what is going to happen on July 31st. I know that he will be put on AP, but just praying not for a long period of time, but not sure of how all of that name checking works

So, could someone please explain how the name checks work again. I think that I have read before, but idk.. I am really stressed out over this whole name check stuff. I have seen so many on AP for over 6 mths and I think to myself>> WHY SO LONG omg

I know they have to through different databases, but still that is tooo long.

Just stressin out guys

Hey Aisha:

I truly understand what you must be going through. Seeing your timeline, I am really hoping that they have already done the administrative process and will inshaAllaah inshaAllaah InshaAllaah issue his the Visa right away. Good times or bad times, inshaAllaah you will be together. At this point, there is very comfort I can give you except don't stop asking Allaah to help you both.

Don't worry. InshaAllaah everything will be fine. Give charity.

Amy,

Do you have any paln to join your hubby for interview. Lot of people on VJ advice to do that specially for Pakistan, India and similar countries.

It cost money and vacation time too.

Good luck to both of you.

here is just a few things i've picked up along the way regarding AP. your husband will most likely be placed in AP, as long as everything else goes well in the interview, he should be only in AP for a name check. my lawyer said pretty much all young males from Paki are having to go thru the name check issue. his file will most likely be sent back to Washington DC, electronically, and his name with be run thru a series of different databases. my fiance and i r in the AP process.

dont let your anxiety get the best of you. you've made it so far, this is just the last part, the hardest part. if you cant keep it together , just imagine what your honey will go thru. Also, tell your fiance to take every piece of paper, it's better to have too much, then missing a document, otherwise this will delay the AP even longer.

BEST of luck sweetie!
