AOS approved + experience sharing

HI all,

I just wanted to share my experience and some hopes with all of you still waiting.

I arrived last september fron france to join my husband-the USC- I was having no clue of what i wanted to do and I was very confused but everything turned out for the better...I need to admit that my husband is an immigration lawyer (and a good one) so it kind of help!

To sum up:

- I arrived in Sept in NY to visit my husband with the Visa Waiver P as I had been doing since we got married. (by the way AA lost my luggage..great start)

- After months of questioning we decided it was better for me to stay and we applied for the AOS based on marriage (late december-before the end of my 3 months VWP stay)

-figerprinting almost right away

- less than 3 months after (early March 08) I received the Work permit+ the Advance Parole.

- end of March 08: interview and Permanent GC (we were married for more than 2 years). Everything went so quick that I did not realize that I was granted the GC. My husband needed to ask th immigration officier to confirm that I was getting it!

- and I got a job the same day!!!

I remember 1,5 year ago when I was spending my time on the forums back in France looking for comforting advices and directions (and that my husband was telling me to stop stressing myself and that everything will be fine ....and he was right!!!)

Anyway, I wanted to give back a litlle bit of hope to all of you who gave me so much during those difficult times. Thanks!
