Hah...the Brits invented English, but Americans perfected it! ;)

Latest news: Green card received 16 April 2007. USCIS-free until 3 January 2009! Eligible to naturalize 3 April 2010.

According to my husband, the British invented EVERYTHING- not just the English language. To clarify, actually it's the ENGLISH that invented everything, and he'd probably try his best to push it that it's actually Lancastrians that did all the inventing......................................

Speaking of early language barriers (not going to throw my 2 p into the rest of the conversation) the first time my husband came to my house he told me it was "homely". To say I was a bit put out is to put it mildly. And one of the first times we hung out he asked me if I wanted any tea and I said "no thanks, but I AM starving and would love supper!"

10/08/09: Interview

11/21/09: Receive oath date

Ah, I remember the "homely" discussion! My dad used to tell me I was "homely" when I was young, just to tease me, and Ewen didn't understand why I had been so insulted.

I love to make fun of Stewart being from Australia since it was all the ENglish convicts that started the country :)

When we were thinking about moving there I found it ironic it required a background check :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!
