Happy Friday ! New job has a mandatory Friday meeting EVERY week from 8am-10am. :D

I have a question....how do I get a real person at the 800 #? I have tried every prompt I can think of and I can't get a person. I need to ask about the first set of petitions I filed.

Happy Friday everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeahhhhhhhh, I just love Fridays and when it is time to get off I almost run out of this place like nutcase! Anyways, we are having a big retirement bash for my dad tomorrow night. He just retired from 33 years at General Motors. We are expecting about 50 peeps there and grilling out, playing cornhole, letting the kiddies run play in the water. It should be fun!

ummmm.......

we must have very different ideas of what that means!

Oh my gosh! I almost spit my pop out of my mouth Sara! Yes, I know what you are thinking but nooooooooooo that is not what we are playing at the retirement party!

Cornhole is a game where you throw the bag of corn into a hole in a piece of wood. Maybe it's an Ohio/Kentucky/Tennessee game..not sure.

Jackie, if you need to speak to an immigration officer dial the 800# and then put in 1-2-6-0 following the prompts. It traditionally should work for you. We had to use it a few times with DH's citizenship application. Sometimes you might have a CSR who will not do the transfer but most times they will.

Good luck!

Having no clue what you guys are talking about I finally found this:

cornholing:

Or: corn-holing , colloquialism for **- and heterosexual #######-intercourse . See #######-copulation for synonyms.

Etymology: An early 20 th century American expression believed to have originated from the practice of wiping the ### with dried corncobs.

The etymology is what just sent Mountain Dew all over my monitor!

OK LOL I was reading this thread like  I didn't get it until you posted this

The hubby just started a job a few miles away from the hotel room last week and he's been working all week but he went for another interview at a place right next door to the room this morning..... they hired him at $1.50 more on the hour and, since it's right next door, he'll save a lot of gas money (he can walk) and he'll be able to come home for lunch instead of eating out :D He's gone for his drug test now.... I was joking with him and said "Good luck! You better pass!" to which he replied  "What? You think I drink everyday?!?" It's cute that he doesn't know what a drug test is for

They put Yahoo! back behind the firewall here at work.

What is your connection set on? Is it set to "Firewall with no proxies"? If it doesn't work you can go through the internet using meebo.com or ebuddy.com. :) At one company I worked for they blocked a lot of internet access to forums and chat rooms, but there was a way around it. I would add or delete the "s" from http: which ever worked. ;)

Thanks for the tips...Yahoo is back up (must have been a temp thing) and I panicked! LOL
