Ok...So Andres FINALLY has his visa!

This is after a little scare that we have had.

Last Thursday after my last topic post Andres got Another dreaded call from the embassy. The call stated "we wont be sending out your visa your going to administrative processing again!"

FYI...the day before Andres had had a interview at the embassy where they had stated security checks were done and that they were going to be mailing out the visa. Well...Andres lost it.

I kinda felt bad at the time that he lost it with the poor customer service rep that had to deal with andres' bad temper but now I am glad he did.

He argued and argued till she finally gave up and said "Here let me transfer you to the CO!"

And so she did...after about waiting for 3 to 4 minutes the CO pics up and says "I appologize I made her call you in error. We will be printing the visa today."

This made me wonder...if Andres hadn't of fought...would we be in AP....again?

This is what Im going to tell all you boys and girls who are in AP! If they tell you its approved and security checks are done FIGHT for an earlier second interview so security checks dont expire. Fight if they tell you that after you second interview they say they are sending it back! Fight like no other! Maybe that way you can get ahead of their processing and end up with our same situation.

I cant guaranty that it will work...but maybe this whole AP business is something that plagues some of us that have had to wait.

I pray that everyone gets out of AP soon! Especially to those who have helped me through mine (Tammy)!

Way to GO, Diana, si man! The only way to deal with these monkeyshines is immediately and directly. After another belated, boilerplate, inaccurate reply from my consulate to my Congressman, I am hiring an attorney. I might not need to unleash him, but I suspect that I'll have to. The only situation surpassing the outrageous ridiculousness of yours is mine, si man.

That aside, CONGRATULATIONS, si man! :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

11/21/2007 - Package sent back to me( I forgot to sign one of my G-325A forms) I cried my eyes out but sent it next day delivery back to USCIS.

11/27/2007 - Received NOA1

02/13/2008 - Received NOA2

02/20/2008 - Package left NVC

02/22/2008 - Case uploaded into Ghana consulate data system

04/08/2008 - Packet 3 & 4 sent to fiance

04/16/2008 - Packet 3 & 4 received by fiance

06/24/2008 - Interview date (God blessings on this day)

06/24/2008 - DENIED visa at interview

06/25/2008 - APPROVED visa at 2nd interview with senior consulate

06/27/2008 - Picked up VISA

07/03/2008 - Fiance entered USA at JFK POE & Got EAD Stamp in passport

07/18/2008 - Married

08/07/2008 - Mailed AOS application
