It just seems like everything is piling up all at once. Im pregnant with no health insurance, three months pregnant and have yet to see a doctor, we are in debt up to our eyeballs with no sign of getting out, I attempted to do my taxes and it turns out we are going to have to owe which is not good since we were counting on a decent return to pay off our furniture (which is interest free until april, then hello all of the accrued interest).

My dad, for some ungodly reason, chooses to help (financially) a friend of his with a gambling problem and has yet to even offer to help his only child. He likes to take pride in saying that he always took care of me and i never had to pay for anything growing up....bullsh*t! Im in the process of paying a $6000 student loan cause my dad 'took care' of me so much that he neglected to pay for half of my college education, which he now claims was a waste since im not actually using it in my job. My poor husband works 10 hour days, at least 50 hours a week, making sh*t for pay since his boss doesnt feel like honoring his word, and plus his boss refuses to pay overtime. Now please explain to me how a person can just say 'well, i dont pay overtime, deal with it!'?? My dad and my husband were looking to start a business together, which now my dad has second thoughts about since he will probably have most of the financial burden (as far as putting up down payment, having the loan mostly in his name since my husband doesnt have much credit, etc.) Which is pissing my husband off since my dad is so wishy-washy, make up your damn mind already!

I have had $50 in my checking account since friday, which i need to figure out how to buy lunch, groceries, and gas until this friday. My husband had to break out his emergency stash of money just so that he could eat lunch this week, my next check is already gone before it even gets here cause i have bills just waiting in my purse to get paid. I am under so much stress, all i want to do is cry all the time....but that isnt good for me right now. I cant seem to just calm down anymore.

i understand that it has to rain every once and awhile, but why the f**k does it have to pour so damn much?????

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

Contact the state labor dept about the overtime thing. If he's not supervising anyone he should get overtime. (I know it's a little more complicated but the state will sort it out).

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Depends on how the position is classified. Then one might challenge whether or not the classification is correct. It's been done time and again. As rch said, the labor board would be a good start to sort it out. If your hubby does go down that road, he may need to look for a new job as well. Not that he can be fired for calling the labor board but he'll be "managed" out the door. Not many have blown the whistle on their employers and stayed...

You have to get yourself a pre-natal check-up....first things first. Call your closest health Dept. Tell them you have no money and are pregant and need to have a check-up. They have free clinics once or twice a month at most health Dept's, go to one! They will even do your blood test that you need. You need pre-natal vitamins. Go to the closest Dollar Store and pick up 2 bottles of CHILDREN'S vitamins plus iron and take 2 a day untill you can afford to get the real thing. You'll be getting enough folic acid and vitamins that you and the baby need. While you're there look at their food section....you can get some pretty good stuff for a buck each, you'd be surprised. A lot of churches will help you too if you aren't too proud to go to them and explain your situation. Most of them have food banks and probably even maternity clothes and things you will need for the baby.

Call your creditors and explain that you are temporarily short of funds and see if they won't accept a small payment towrds what has to be paid. A lot of places will be understanding about it but you don't know till you try.

Do you have anything lying around that you may no longer want but someone else might? Try selling on Ebay! I know a woman who makes her living going to garage sales and re-selling the stuff on Ebay- she usually makes 100% profit!

You have to take care of yourself first because you have a baby inside of you that is depending on you to be healthy, girl. Go out and take a nice walk and get some air and exercise. You gotta release that stress because as you said that isn't good for the baby either.

Good Luck, girl.

Great advice!

I'm guessing you're in Wisconsin from your local office. Wisconsin's state health insurance is BadgerCare. Their phone number is (800) 362-3002. A list of county health departments can be found here.

I also found this which looks like it could be very helpful for you, and would allow you to get prenatal care while applying for government assistance.

As Sharon mentioned, definately call your local Health Department, and call BadgerCare. I hope your situation improves soon (F)

Try to check on your baby to see if everything is okay since you're going through so much stress.
