Hey guys,

I am just curious about some information that my friend was given by an immigration judge in georgia. Her hubby came here on K1 visa then got married 90 days after. However, they had a fight he hit her and was arrested. They have been going to court for some time now, maybe over two years or more.At the time he was arrested the papers were not filed for AOS.

Now my friend is telling me that the immigration judge has given her hubby immigrant status ... I am confused! can this happen? I thought they would only allow you to file for AOS? She also said the judge told her that after six months her hubby will be eligible for citizenship? He was not given any form of immigrant stauus because he has been going to court for a long time.

I am not sure about a lot of immigration matters , however this i cannot believe.

Can you guys please tell me what you know? Thanks in advance.
