Hello Everyone,

Just an update I was asked in April to submit more evidence so I did and I went to check out the case status this morning and here is what it said...

Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On July 16, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

You can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via email. Please click here to create an account online.

So, now I am waiting to receive the notice and find out what we the next step is. Can anyone tell me what is the procedure from here?

Thank you so much! This is my time line so far......

I first mailed my I-130 on March 29, 2008. I received a notice of receipt on April 4, 2008. Then on April 26, 2008 I received a request for more evidence. I submitted it and it was received on July 8, 2008 and it was approved on July 16,2008. When did you file?

Congratulations. I filed about a week before you. Did you receive any touches or RFE during that time? This is about as fast as I've seen for a straight forward I-130 petition.

Oops, I read your post too fast...RFE April 26. It looks like they looked at your case right away.

Yes, they did I was so shocked when I saw it was approved. Hope yours is approved soon! :)

How come March filers are approved so fast? October 2007 filers at VSC are still waiting. Nothing personal against anyone. VSC is really ridiculous.. The whole system sucks!!

I really don't know how to answer that. Or in what order they actually process the I-130's. I hope yours will be approved soon!

7.22.08 - CASE COMPLETED IN 90 DAYS - THANK GOD!!

Embassy

9.29.08-Interview - AP (2 weeks)

10.15.08 - AP over :) Embassy called hubby to go get his Visa - HAPPIEST DAY!!!

10.20.08 - Visa Issued

11.25.08 - POE (JFK then SFO)

11.26.08 - Visa Journey is Over!! TOOK 737 DAYS....Habibi is Home!! :) :)

USA

11.25.08 - POE

12.10.08 - Applied for SS Card

12.15.08 - Welcome Letter Received

12.17.08 - SS Card Received

12.26.08 - Green Card Received :)

Begin Naturalization process 2011 ~ Inshallah
