Hello Fellow VJ'ers

I am curious as to what some of the latest interviews that have been scheduled at the embassy in Amman, Jordan are. Our case was complete at the NVC on June 26th and we still don't have an interview date. I know they only schedule interviews during the 2nd week of the month for the following month...did any of you get in for August????

Since we did not get in for August...I can only hope for a September interview date but of course won't know a thing about that til the 2nd week of August when they do September interviews.

Are any of you waiting for an interview date with case at NVC complete like us? Pls respond and let me know your status if you are in the "waiting for interview" stage.

We have been apart now since March 4. I think through everything, this waiting for the NVC to schedule the interview was the hardest part so far. You cheer when USCIS gives approval and get all happy...then go through what you go through at the NVC with all the forms and cheer and get all happy when they tell you your case is now complete...then its hurry up and wait again for a month or two while they get around to scheduling your interview...which I think could be backlogged due to a limited number of interview slots given by the embassy.....for whatever reason its driving us insane because there are no forms to fill out, nothing to do but WAIT.

Please let me know where you stand in the process.

Best of luck to you....

Thanks...and have a wonderful day!!!

I don't mean to bust your bubble, but I would prepare myself for a longer wait if I were you. We filed for our process in Jan 07, and by the time all the paperwork was finished and approved, it was July before his interview date. Then we were put in AP and RFE, filed those papers the same week and still had to wait until October before he was approved for his visa. It seems with any of the embassy's it's either feast or famine! Either the approvals come thru very quickly or very slowly.

So, my best advice is to find something constructive to do until he has his interview. Believe it or not, once you get the news that he has his interview date the time does fly by!

Best of luck in your wait, and GOD SPEED!!

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!

Yes...we were so not thinking we would be apart our whole first year of marriage, except for my couple of trips over to see him....but we sure do realize it now!! I am thinking that it could even be October before he is scheduled to be interviewed.....if not, I will definitley have to take a trip over. Not going now is killing me but I just started a new job and don't want to take vacation right now.

Thanks for your note and dose of reality...I do have to be patient!!

Jeezzzz....someone with no patience could never make it through this process.

I hope it goes by fast for you. From the timelines feature on VJ , it looks like Jordan is about 86 days from NVC to interview at Amman.

I was just looking at your pics!!!!!!!! The little girl, Lyn, is that your daughter? She is beautiful!

much better than a few years ago...it was ~8 months for me last time from NVC for 129F....and like 6 from case complete to interview ...using the K3 interview slot for the CR1. But I would say 2.5 months is a good average from NVC case complete to interview as NVC schedules it now.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

For us, case was there in November 2006 and they scheduled interview for June  then they called my husband at the end of February for a March interview. He was approved that day.

Close to what happened to us. Our case was there in October 2006 and was scheduled for June, then we got moved back to April 2007 for an interview, had 2 questions, and was approved that day.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

jJ, with the packet the consulate sends out the appointment date is in it. Not sure if calling an operator at NVC will also provide that date, will know in a few weeks, ISA!

I wanted to say welcome to MENA to our new "going thru Jordan" girl. I LOVED all ur pictures and that grandbaby of urs is absolutely beautiful. She looks a lot like Jackies' Lexy!

My husband knows a few ppl with ur married last name! He may have some good friends from ur family.

Our process was initiated in January 2005 and He got here in December 2005 so our whole process took a year. His interview was 1 week before his visa was issued. He arrived here the week after he go this visa (if I remember correctly).

Good luck in your journey and feel free to take ur shoes off and stay awhile.

Welcome again
